8 Tips to Make Your Original Wedding Date Amazing!

These past few months for so many people have been absolute chaos. You've put months and sometimes years into meticulously planning your wedding day for it all to be temporarily put on hold.

However.

Your original wedding it still going to be there to be celebrated. When the day arrives, it will feel like a gut punch. You know you should be out with your nearest and dearest celebrating the happiest day of your lives and I'm not going to sugarcoat it. It wasn't the plan for this day at all, but you can still make it awesome. Below, we've compiled our 8 favourite ways to celebrate your original wedding date! and if you're feeling particularly adventurous, why not try out a few of them!

WHATS THE BEST WAYS TO CELEBRATE YOUR ORIGINAL WEDDING DATE?

DIY your wedding cake.

Wether you are well accustomed to baking, or you're like me, can make a cracking cake fresh from a pack in Asda, this one is a win/win situation. You'll either have an amazingly beautiful cake to eat (between only the two of you might I add - instant win in my eyes) or you'll have a complete baking disaster and the results will be hilarious! No doubt you'll be talking about that disastrous cake you baked on your wedding day for years to come!

Cook up your wedding menu.

Meet up with your squad via zoom and have yourselves a drinks reception!

Just because you can't be in your squads company, in person, doesn't mean you don't have to see them at all! Make sure everyone has the drinks in and party like it's your wedding day! Why not make it even more of a celebration by recreating your wedding drinks reception drinks?

Make a fort and camp in it.

Who doesn't like forts? Order some cheap fairy lights off Amazon and let your imagination run wild!

Crack open some Champagne…

…and lots of it. It's your day to celebrate so celebrate it in style!

Ask your DJ if they can do a live set for you via Zoom or Facebook Rooms to you and your bridal party.

This one is a little out there but we think it's ace! Chances are, your DJ may not be doing anything now this evening, so approach them and ask them if they'd like to do a live set from home. Definitely worth getting some banging choons on the go!

Dance

Could you get a more perfect time to choreograph and learn your first dance? Get that furniture out of the way, light some candles and put on those fairy lights! Be it a slow waltz or something more elaborate, this is the best time to get those dance moves polished!

Plan your Honeymoon

If you were like me and Bec, we didn't start planning the honeymoon until quite a bit closer to our wedding day. If all your travel plans have also been put on hold, get out those brochure's, have a look online and find yourself that perfect honeymoon location.

Just remember though...

I know it's easy for me to say, but try not to stress too much and your day will come. Things are finally starting to look up and when your original wedding date finally arrives, the wait will make it all that much sweeter! You got this and you'll be able to embrace all those you love very soon! <3
