Robbie and Hannah's wedding at Nant Gwrtheyrn.
I do love a good Nant Gwrtheyrn wedding, and this one was a LONG time coming!
Robbie and Hannah asked me to be their Nant Gwrtheyrn wedding photographer and were due to get married at Nant Gwrtheyrn in September 2020, and like most couples that year, due to the Covid 19 pandemic, had to postpone their wedding.
I have shot in Nant Gwrtheyrn a few times before, but when we finally got to shoot their wedding in May the following year, it was unlike anything I've ever shot before. The fact that this was the first time most of the guests had the opportunity to spend time together in over a year, made the atmosphere absolutely electric.
The day started off with the groom and bridal preparation at Nant Gwrtheyrn before heading on to St Cyngar's Church in Borth y Gest for the ceremony. We were fortunate enough to get a gap in the weather to shoot the big group shot at Borth y Gest, before heading back to Nant Gwrtheyrn for the wedding breakfast and the evening reception.
I finished off after my first ever outdoor first dance. Due to the restrictions in place at the time, they were unfortunately not allowed to have any evening entertainment as it would need to take place indoors, however, a Google Home Smart Speaker and a decking with an amazing view set the stage for their first dance. Absolutely amazing!
I just want to thank Robbie and Hannah from the bottom of my heart for trusting me to join them on their wedding day. It was an honour joining both of you and your family and friends on what was a day that was a long LONG time coming!
