Hanna and Dion's Wedding Photos at Plas Maenan

This one was a bit special.

Hanna and Dion got married this past weekend at Plas Maenan, a stunning local venue that always delivers. But this time, they did things a little differently. The ceremony was held outdoors in the gardens overlooking the valley. First time I’ve photographed a ceremony outside there and honestly, I hope it’s not the last. It added something proper special to their set of wedding photos at Plas Maenan.

I’ve known Dion since we were kids. He used to live across the road from me, so being asked to photograph his wedding felt more like catching up with an old mate than working. And both he and Hanna were just the most chilled-out couple. No fuss. No drama. Just two people clearly in it for all the right reasons.

One of the best bits of the day was a special guest appearance from their dog, Berti, who turned up in a little suit that matched the groom. He came for a few portraits and completely stole the show. Fair play, he looked class.

A Surprise Visit

The weather was unreal. Easily one of the hottest weddings I’ve shot. Everyone spent most of the day outside, drinks in hand, music playing, and the whole place had that proper summer buzz. The evening light was something else too. We sneaked away just before sunset and came back with some of my favourite Plas Maenan wedding photos so far. Soft golden light and those valley views. Can’t go wrong.

Big credit to the staff at Plas Maenan as well. They were calm, helpful and kept everything running smoothly from start to finish.
